Facilities Inventory: Special Instructions for 2022-2023

Units are expected to complete a full and accurate inventory for FY2023.  You will need to do the best you can to accurately reflect current room type and function.   Bear in mind these considerations:

  • Rooms where the occupants are not currently on campus because they are working fully remote: Do not change the room type.  Coding of these rooms should continue to reflect the activities of the usual occupants even if they are not currently on campus.
  • For new employees who have not yet worked on campus because of the pandemic, code the spaces they would normally be using including research spaces as if they are in use, even though the staff, faculty or students may be working remotely.
  • Please be sure when you are entering substantiation for sponsored research that you are also removing expired research awards.
