Facilities Inventory: Oracle Analytics Server Reports

Information from the facilities inventory system is stored so that it can be retrieved and analyzed using Oracle Analytics Sever reports.

Note that facilities inventory reports contain data from the previous business day.  So, for example, on a Monday afternoon, the reports contain updates made on the previous Friday, but not updates made earlier in the day on Monday morning.

Information in the facilities is updated once a year by mid-August to reflect current room usage as of June 30th.  Because no updates can be made for a portion of the year from mid-August through October while the information in the facilities inventory is being audited, and because updates to room use are required only once a year at the end of the fiscal year, it is common for information in the facilities inventory to be several months out of date.

All users of the inventory system are granted access to reports in Oracle Analytics Server, OAS.  To use the reports, login to the web page
         https://oasprod.db.cornell.edu/analytics 
with your Cornell University NetID and NetID password.

After logging in, from the top-right corner of the screen, select "Dashboards".  You may have access to a number of different reports other than those related to the facilities inventory.

To find reports for the most current facilities inventory data look under the IWMS category.

Figure 1.  Reports are grouped into subject areas.  The most current facilities inventory information is available under the "IWMS" subject area.

Use the listings in Table 1 below to locate the appropriate report subject area.  Reports are available which help prepare substantiation for rooms where organized research takes place as well as reports for historical facilities inventory data from fiscal year 2009-2010 onwards.
