REF 08 - View Service Request and Work Order Cost Information in Maximo

PURPOSE

View the total costs for work orders linked to a service request and review the labor, material, service, and tool transactions included in those costs.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • You need a computer and a Cornell NetID.
  • Your Maximo account must include access to Service Requests and Work Order Tracking.
  • Have the service request number or other search information available.

STEPS NEEDED

1. Sign in to Maximo and open Service Requests

  • Go to the Cornell Maximo webpage, select Maximo Production under Quick Links, and sign in with your Cornell NetID and password. 
  • Open the Service Requests application.

2. Search for and open the service request

  • Use the filter fields at the top of the Service Requests list to enter your search criteria, then press Enter.
  • You can also use Advanced Search, enter the available search criteria, and select Find.
  • If more than one result appears, select the service request number from the List tab to open the record.

3. View the total cost of each related work order

  • Open the Related Records tab on the service request.
  • In the Related Work Orders section, review the Total Cost shown for each work order.

4. Open a related work order to view its cost details

  • From the Related Records tab, open the action menu beside the work order number.
  • Select Go To Work Order Tracking.

5. Review the work order total and transaction breakdown

  • Open the Actuals tab.
  • Review the work order Total Cost.
  • Review the transaction details under Labor, Materials, Services, and Tools.
  • If there are multiple transactions, use the page controls above the list to view the remaining entries.

6. Return to the service request or search for another record

  • Use Return to go back to the original service request.
  • To search for another service request, open the List tab and repeat Step 2.
  • To return to your Start Center, select Start Center.

RESULT

You have reviewed the total cost for each work order linked to the service request and, when needed, the labor, material, service, and tool transactions that make up the work order cost.
