Facilities Inventory: Facility Codes and Names
The Cornell University facilities inventory system contains descriptive information for more than 4,000 facilities. Facilities include buildings and other structures.
Each facility is described by a unique four- to five-character code. Codes are not reused and so a facility continues to have the same code even after it no longer exists, for example, because the building has been demolished.
[Guidance on naming facilities]
Each facility is also described in the facilities inventory by one or more names.
