Shuttle Map - Tuesday Only

Parking on Central Campus: August 18-22, 2025
After unloading belongings at your on-campus residence, you will be asked to move your vehicle to Central Campus where you can park while you finish unpacking your room and settling in.
These parking lots include Alumni Fields lot, Crescent lot, Bartels lot, Peterson lot, and TRB lot. From these parking lots, you may take the TCAT bus or Move-In shuttle back to key areas of campus.
Some residential areas of campus have other parking options available closer to their specific buildings. Please refer to your individual area’s Move-In Instructions page for further details after unloading your vehicle.
Parking options will vary based on area of campus and/or building unloading zone. Please refer to your specific Move-in instructional page for your parking locations.

Students with ND permit
Look for follow-up email with temporary Move In permit
Your virtual ND permit is linked to your vehicle’s license plate number. This is how we determine where the vehicle is valid to park on campus. There is no physical ND permit to display. However, due to additional limitations and parking restrictions needed during the Fall 2025 Move-In event, August 18-22, ND permit holders are required to display a temporary ND permit placard for vehicle access to restricted parking locations. The annual virtual permit purchased will be intact for the duration of time assigned but a printed dashboard placard must be displayed and visible to staff managing restricted locations during the move in process.
Regular permit and parking regulations will be in effect starting Monday, August 25 at 7:30AM.
Please ensure the correct license plate information is registered with Transportation for your parking permit prior to arriving on campus. To add or update your vehicle information, please visit www.myparking.cornell.edu.
For Cornell Faculty and Staff
On-Campus Traffic and Parking
Significant traffic circulation and parking adjustments are being made to facilitate new student move-in, Aug. 18-22, 2025. Please consider these conditions when planning your commute and, if possible, avoid driving on campus.
- North Campus parking lots, Jessup Rd and Cradit Farm Dr will be closed beginning at 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 and will reopen at 8 p.m. on Aug. 22.
- West Ave will be one-way southbound and limited to move-in traffic Aug. 18-22.
- Roadways, parking lots, and buses will become congested. Please allow yourself extra time to travel to your destination if you must be on campus.
- Several parking lots will be reserved for or shared with event permit holders.
- Displaced permit holders may park without a permit or payment in lots not dedicated to move-in activities. Please comply with reserved lot and/or space, MT, and ADA requirements when choosing where to park.
Community members are encouraged to plan their commute with this event in mind and avoid driving on campus if possible. Alternatives to parking on campus include using a park-and-ride, working remotely (if permitted), sharing the ride, taking transit, cycling or walking to campus.
We thank you for your cooperation and partnership.

Hourly & Daily Decision Rate Adjustments
EFFECTIVE AUGUST 25, 2025, Cornell Transportation Services is making changes to short-term parking.
*No changes to annual parking permit rates*
This plan focuses on improving access and turnover for short-term and occasional parking needs on campus.
Background:
After a four-year review of the Daily Decision Parking Program, with stakeholders and through data analysis, it was found that the low costs of the program led to unsustainable demand and did not meet the program's goals - to offer flexible access to those without annual permits (occasional commuters), such as faculty, staff, and students with variable or hybrid schedules, as well as for short-term employee access, visitors, and departmental business needs. The following rate changes are based on the above-mentioned evaluation.
⏱ Hourly Parking Rate Updates
To promote space turnover, manage parking availability, reduce congestion in high-demand areas and support operational costs, select campus lots will see updated hourly pricing:
• Crescent Lot (Zone 4131):
o $3.00/hour (10 AM – 3 PM), $1.50/hour off-peak
• Bartels Lot (Zone 4112):
o $3.00/hour (10 AM – 3 PM), $1.50/hour off-peak
📅 Daily Decision Program Adjustments
To manage demand in high-use lots, the following rate changes will apply:
• Oxley Lot (Zone 4111): $5.00/day; $0.75/hr
• TRB Lot (Zone 4108): $5.00/day; $0.75/hr
NEW: The Occasional Commuter Parking (OCP) program for faculty and staff allows flexible, daily parking access for employees who do not hold annual permits in employee-only lots.
FAQS
Will there be an increase in annual parking?
No. Annual parking permit rates will remain unchanged in the 2025/2026 academic year.
What are the changes?
Changes include increased peak rates (10am – 3pm) for select hourly lots, time limits for high-use hourly lots, and increased rates in select Daily Decision lots.
Why are you increasing short-term parking rates?
Rate adjustments are necessary to better manage high-demand areas and support turnover for access to all the campus community and visitors.
What are low-cost options for daily parking?
The Daily Decision lots at CISER (Zone 4110), EHOB (4109), and EHP (Zone 4109) remain at $0.50/day and are on the TCAT bus route 82.
The Daily Decision lot at Hasbrouck Apartments (4106) remains at $1.50/day and is on the TCAT bus route 81.

New EV Charging Plan on Campus
Expanded Access to EV Charging on Campus & New Fee Structure Starting July 1, 2025
Electric vehicles (EVs) are quickly becoming a more popular and sustainable mode of transportation. As adoption increases, so does the demand for accessible and reliable charging options. At Cornell, the Transportation Department is committed to supporting this transition through continued investment in campus charging infrastructure.
Currently, there are 12 Level 2 ChargePoint EV chargers available on campus. However, with growing usage, the existing structure is no longer able to meet demand. In support of Cornell’s sustainability goals and to improve availability for all users—including students, employees, and visitors—the Transportation Department will implement a new fee structure beginning July 1, 2025.
What’s Changing?
The updated pricing model is designed to:
- Improve turnover and reduce EV idling time at chargers
- Expand access for more users
- Support ongoing maintenance and future infrastructure improvements
New Charging Rates Effective July 1, 2025:
Active Permit Holders: $3.50 per hour – Standard rate for locations requiring an annual parking permit; This flat rate applies if you hold a valid annual permit where the charger is located.
Non-Permit Users in High-Demand and Permit Required Areas: An additional $3.00 per hour ParkMobile fee will apply on top of the $3.50/hr. charging rate.
Free Parking Zones: Only the $3.50/hr. charging fee applies—no additional parking fees.
These changes aim to make EV charging more efficient and equitable, while enhancing the overall experience for our campus community and guests.
Questions?
For more details on charging locations, visit the ChargePoint website. Visit the Cornell Parking website for additional parking information, or contact us via email at transportation@cornell.edu.
Thank you for supporting a greener future and keeping Cornell on the move.
