Transferring Rooms from One Department to Another
All rooms in the facilities inventory must have one or more departments associated with them for every day of the fiscal year from July 1st to June 30th.
When a new department begins to use a room, and your department will leave the room, then you transfer the room to the new department.
To transfer a room, you need two pieces of information. The first is the date when the new department will take over the room. This must be a date between July 1st and June 30th of the the fiscal year for which you are entering the inventory. Dates before July 1st and after June 30th give an error.
You also need the Kuali Financial Systems, KFS, org code or department name for the new department. See a complete list of possible departments. Org codes are four digits long.
To transfer a room, start by editing the room. To do this locate the room in the inventory and click on the room number to enter the screen where the details can be changed.
