Comments
Hi Lindy and Andrew,
May I have your permission to change the network addresses in 11 EMCS devices in Shurman Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 4th at 10am? Seven of these devices are ALC LGRs, one is a Metasys NAE, and three are Lutron lighting controllers. With your permission, Jason Arnold of the Control Shop will change the addresses of the ALC LGRs and the Metasys NAE. I will change the addresses of the Lutron lighting controllers myself. After the addresses have been changed in the devices, I will change the addresses for their network jacks.
These address changes should go smoothly, with no interference with Schurman Hall’s HVAC controls or degradation of ventilation, temperature, or other comfort parameters for the building occupants, and only transient interference with EMCS communication with the devices involved, until I get the devices’ new IP addresses entered into the EMCS. That being said, Lindy, would you please be able to have a controls technician standing by to operation Schurman Hall’s HVAC controls by hand in case things don’t go according to my plan?
