On the morning of July 25 we will need to shut the valves on the main which will put the Plant Science building without water or fire protection. We would like to start at 5 Am and do a 5AM – 10 AM shutdown. We will install a new valve for the PIV and then replace the existing valve that was not shutting on the domestic water side as well at that time. We did not have any issues with the fire alarm during the last shut down but will likely need an EH&S person to unlock the valves on the header so they can be shut and the system will not be drained. We will also shut valves on the domestic water in the mech room so the entire building is not drained during this process.
