I am asking for your approval for me and the Pat Key of the Cornell Control Shop to change the network addresses in the 5 Alerton BCMs in the Human Ecology Building on Wednesday, Oct. 25th, starting at 10am and estimated to be complete by 12pm. Pat and I will try to minimize the effect of the Alerton BCMs not being able to find each other during the interval when they’re being moved from one VLAN to another. The anticipated duration of the address change activity is about 1 hour. The occupants of the Human Ecology Building probably won’t be aware of the address change activity. There probably will not be any interruption of utilities or HVAC controls in the building. I will ask Lindy West to have a controls technician standing by to manually control the HVAC equipment in the Human Ecology Building in the event that this address change activity causes problems with air handlers or exhaust fans or other HVAC equipment in the Human Ecology Building.
