Facilities Inventory: Editing Room Descriptions

Because of the structure of the underlying database, some information in the facilities inventory can be edited without clicking on the "Edit" button to the left of the room listings in the "1.40 Room Updates" view.

Use the "Edit" button to the left of the room listing to modify these values:

  • Room Type
  • Station Quantity
  • Brief Room Info.

Click the "Edit" button in the top portion of the list of rooms, and then make changes in the lower portion of the screen.  Figure 1 below shows the "Edit" button before it has been clicked.  The Room Type, Station Quantity and Brief Room Info are not editable.

Figure 2 below shows the same view after clicking on the "Edit" button to the left of the room listing.  It is now possible to make changes.

Note that in the "Edit" mode, the "View" button for floor plans disappears.  Save the room edits and the "View" button will return.
