Carpenter Hall Phase 3
Project Description
1. The project includes a partial interior and exterior renovation of Carpenter Hall, first floor and basement, including but not limited to: 2. Provide temporary partitions at work areas. Maintain proper egress at all times.
3. Demolish, remove, or salvage select existing construction.
4. Demolish existing multi-story metal stack shelving system, including but not limited too structural posts, integral floor construction and finishes, and associated mechanical and electrical systems.
5. Demolition includes hazardous materials abatement.
6. Provide structural steel framing, concrete slab on deck, concrete slab on grade, and other structural steel to accommodate new floor infills, housekeeping slab, new opening in existing construction for window, and a new interior ramp and stairs.
7. Provide new openings in existing construction for new windows. The work includes adjustment to exterior stone veneer façade, new cast stone sill panels, and poured concrete area wells to accommodate new intake/exhaust louvers. Excavate to accommodate the new area wells and footings. Restore all site conditions. Protect trees in the project area.
8. Provide new partitions and finishes, including flooring, wall and ceiling paint, and new acoustical ceiling tile and grid. Provide new room signage. Provide new rated glazed doors and frames and non-rated doors and frames, including access control.
9. Provide limited mechanical and plumbing work which includes, but is not limited to new mechanical piping, new sump pump, space heaters, and new interior and exterior floor drains and piping.
10. Provide new or adjust electrical systems in the project area required for a complete installation. This includes but is not limited to new LED lighting, adjustments to the Fire Alarm System, and power distribution. Install Owner provided electrical panels.
