Project Description

1.    The purpose of this project is to renovate approximately 6,300 square feet of existing laboratory and office space on the second and third levels of the Biotechnology Building.The scope includes, but not limited to, the following: 
a.    Maintain proper egress and life safety systems at all times. Maintain all existing building element fire ratings. 
b.    Removal of existing casework, lab benches, flooring and lighting
c.    The removal of any existing fume hoods and the installation of new fume hoods (currently assumed to be one in each lab cluster)
d.    Installation of acoustical ceilings with limited impact to existing systems in addition to new lighting
e.    MEP modifications and construction to support the aforementioned
f.    Additional furnishing and casework for the renovated space, as required.
