January Move-In Parking & Traffic Impacts

In order to facilitate move-in activity on Jan. 23, 24, 29, and 31, several parking lots on North Campus including a portion of the A Lot, and the University Ave. lot on West Campus will be reserved for vehicle queuing and unloading. Additionally, West Ave. will be designated as one-way, with traffic traveling from University Ave. to Campus Rd.

On these days, the following parking lots will be reserved for student move-in and test site access:

  • Robert Purcell Community Center
  • Helen Newman Hall
  • Dickson Hall

Parking access will be reduced in the following lots, but remain open to permit holders:

  • A Lot
  • Crescent Lot

On Friday, January 29, affected permit holders can choose to park in alternate lots for which their permit is valid, or in the following areas if convenient to their work location: Hoy Road parking garage (rooftop level), Outer Hasbrouck (North Campus), Peterson Lot (near Dairy Bar), or TRB Lot (near Vet College). Weekend parking in many areas of the campus is unrestricted.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to accommodate student needs. If you have questions about the move-in process, please visit https://scl.cornell.edu/. For parking and transit questions, visit parking.cornell.edu.
